A combination of Coptic monasteries in the Eastern Desert with a cruise on the Nile in Upper Egypt from the Philae Temple at Aswan, to the Temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu. Another highlight is a unique excursion through the oases of the Western Desert - Khârga, Dakhla and Farafra – and a date with Alexander at the oasis of Siwah.

The islands of the Dodecanese run like a necklace around the Aegean coast of Asia Minor, from Rhodes in the east to Patmos in the north. Their proximity to the Ottoman coast allowed them to be tax-exempt by Sultan Suleiman, hence they were known as the “Privileged Isles”. They are isles of great beauty in the balmy climate of the eastern Mediterranean.

The Cape is the Mediterranean of the southern Hemisphere - balmy weather, blue seas, fine wines and spectacular scenery. The Cape is famous for Cape Dutch homesteads with collections of art and exquisite furniture. We visit in springtime, when the Namaqualand flora blooms and the countryside is covered in vast carpets of indigenous wildflowers.

Ecuador– Galapagos : December 2009

Following other successful Galapagos tours, we offer another tour of the ‘enchanted islands’. After a stopover in the Andes – visiting Quito and the Avenue of the Volcanoes – we join our privately chartered ship for eight days and thread our way to all the main conservation sites to see the boobies, frigates, sea lions, giant tortoises and much more.
